Jane Trotter

Owner, Principal Casting Director

Jane Trotter is one of Queensland's leading Casting Directors and has been casting in Queensland for over thirteen years, formally as a full-time casting Director with Rossi Casting Group and within her own company, Miss Jane Casting since March of 2005, covering all ranges of casting from TV Commercials to Film and TV Series projects. She has many years experience as a former actress of stage and screen and is a qualified dance teacher and choreographer.

Jane has worked alongside Mel Gibson, Hugh Jackman and Hollywood Director, Rob Cohen (Director of Feature Films "Triple X" & "Fast & Furious").

Jane's knowledge and passion for casting has made her one of Australia's highly accomplished and well regarded Casting Directors and a tremendously popular and trusted creative voice among industry professionals.

Joel Spreadborough

Joel has worked with 'Miss Jane Casting' for nearly 3 years, casting dozens of television commercials, training & corporate videos and professional short films. He offers a broad spectrum of professional experience across various mediums and a well-developed sense of communication, character and direction when engaging auditioning actors. Most recently he was the Bit Player Casting Director for series one of multi-million dollar Fox8 TV Series 'SLiDE,' filmed in Brisbane and premiering in August 2011. Joel has considerable professional experience as an actor, presenter and voice over artist in feature films, Australian television, radio, stage and multiple television commercials. He has toured the east coast as a stand up comedian, performing as a national finalist in the 'Green Faces' comedy competition in 2007. With a post-graduate degree in journalism, he has enjoyed extensive professional on air experience as a presenter for channel 7 throughout Queensland and Fox Sports in Sydney. Joel also holds an advanced diploma in stage and screen acting, the final piece of a comprehensive and diverse skill set. When auditioning actors this translates into valuable insight, experience and acting technique advice as well as a first hand understanding of life on the other side of the camera. For clients, Joel's experience delivers consistently reliable, creative and bankable casting consultation and devoted project management. Hayley Jones

Hayley has worked alongside Jane for five years and is an experienced and knowledgeable casting professional with a wonderful eye for new talent. She is a professional actress, singer, trained dancer with photographic model experience and some impressive stage and screen credits. Hayley has grown up in and around the performing arts, she brings a warm, accommodating and industry educated presence to every casting she is involved in and is a composed, hard working and well organised voice for clients.

Administratively, Hayley is charged with the delicate and often exhaustive task of casting bookings, and plays a key role in the office alongside Jane in client liaison and ensuring total satisfaction on every job.

Her secret weapon though, is handling kids! Hayley handles scores of young children every week as a dance teacher and her unfaltering ability to work fluently with the smallest of children and hold back those tears is a huge asset to Miss Jane Casting and its reputation for consistently productive and high quality children's castings.
